ourFOUNDATION: New playground in Zanzibar Children’s Village.
We’re beyond happy to present the results of the donation that name it made in 2022 for our collaboration between ourFOUNDATION and SOS Children’s Village – today, the children have a fully functional playground!
Everyone can contribute: Help us build a playground campaign.
In 2022, ourFOUNDATION initiated a co-lab with name it and donated DKK 200.000 for the establishment of a playground at the SOS Children’s Village in Zanzibar. With this generous donation, it has been possible to build not only a playground, but also a multi-purpose sports court. Something that only has been possible because of the amazing support!
As part of the collaboration, name it has designed a tote bag that was sold for DKK 30 a piece, which would go to establishing the playground in Zanzibar, and in this way all name it’s customers could help support the project. The tote bags could be bought in name it’s stores and via their website.
Both the playground and sports court constitute a safe space where the children can play and have fun together – it provides them with an opportunity to learn, relax, and just be children. The children in the village love their new playing facilities, and the sports court is used for games like football and basketball. Overall, the project has been a great success and will surely continue to be for years to come.
A big thank you to everyone involved in helping us build this playground. Because of you, the children living in the SOS Children’s Village in Zanzibar can now play and be children in a fun and safe environment.
